Localism Redesign (2009)

Localism is a wikipedia for neighborhoods, or "the world's most complete neighborpedia". My job was to design the new site from top to bottom. I did it all, identity, layout design, UX design, icons, artwork. Localism builds online communities around your own local neighborhood. It features your neighbor's blogs, news, events, reviews and even classifieds. One of the main challenges was organizing so much information on one page. We allowed community members to sponsor their community for a small fee, I created a simple user experience out of an elaborate community selection process that was fun and intuitive. I also designed the advertisements and t-shirts.
